- When reporting in to a new duty station it is recommended that you report in wearing your Service Dress Blues (Winter time) or Service Dress Whites (Summer time).

Officers are required to purchase all their own uniforms and uniform items. When reporting to your first assignment, you are eligible for a one-time clothing allowance of $400. This is not an automatic allowance and requires that you fill out some paperwork.
